HOW MANY CALORIES DO YOU INTAKE EVERY DAY?

My struggle is real.... the weight loss struggle that is. What to eat. What not to eat. Do this. Not that. This food burns calories. This food packs on the pounds. But what is the correct take on weight loss?
It has been said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But some say that skipping breakfast is no big deal.

Take me for instance, I wake up most mornings and have a hard boiled egg or two, coffee and a bountiful helping of carrot juice. Which is good start to the day. What happens when you stress over calories and the bulge. How many of us eat the whole breakfast platter or overindulge at the buffet? If you're like me and regret it later, then  remember, you are not alone.
Researchers have determined that breakfast is part of healthy living and has been related to lower body weight.

In a recent study, researchers determined that people who ate breakfast regularly consumed less calories during the day. On average, people ate 263.2 calories less after consuming a morning meal than those who did not eat breakfast on a regular basis. They also say in the group of non-breakfast eaters weight gain was reported.

OK! SO EAT BREAKFAST! Or No

But for black women, it appears more difficult to lose weight. There are many support groups out there to assist women and their health needs but some of us need a little extra help.

One site, Black Weight Loss Success provides the community support through meal planning and clean eating. And it appears to work. Women in this particular community have lost 38 to 206 pounds.

Recipes and resources for clean eating and fitness challenges like the Time Crunch intervals that is currently underway now on the site.

Many women on the site have success stories and have shared their before and after pictures.

It appears that this new trend referred to as clean eating is the way to their weight loss fortune. So what is cleaning eating?

Apparently, the main idea is to eat whole grain and fruits and eliminate refined sugar. The biggest shocker in clean eating is that you may possibly be required to "cook from scratch." And in some instances it may require raw foods like carrots  and kale.

Nutritionists and health food professionals always base their fill on fish, fresh fruit and veggies. Some people have gone as far as to eat frozen fruits for breakfast as a smoothie in a bowl. That sounds like a million dollar idea.

Some people make a fortune with selling meal plans for clean eating. Once a person gets the hang of it, then they can most probably create their own plan and prep.

Professional Boxer and health coach, Charlie Rader says there are plenty of healthy ways to lose weight.

"One of the more popular ways is eating smaller meals throughout the day." He says it all goes by your weight and then we can determine how many calories it takes to lose weight.

If your gonna eat 1500 calories a day then you can divide that 5-6 meals a day. Then you have to take in the right amount of carbs, fats, proteins etc....."

And then, there's the fun part working out and fitness routines. Ugh!

Rader says that's not that hard. Goal setting is a winner.

"Set your main goal of how much you want to lose. Then, set lil' goals each week to get into shape." The World Fighting Championship Wrestler suggest weight training and working out at a gym.

He says for instance, "Like week one, you'll train twice that week and then three times the next week." He also trains other people and understand that some do not have the budget for the gym or a trainer.
"If you don't have money for a gym, then you can train at home and get some exercise bands and a kettle bell."
He claims it's convenient and easy.

" Both of those you'd probably spend about 40 bucks and there are hundreds of exercises you can do with just that."

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY.... LET'S COPE TOGETHER

With today being World Mental Health Day, it is only fitting for all of us to go out and do something spontaneous. Fight the doodle bugs of depression by taking a trip (before gas gets to 2.50/gal). Not just any trip. A low cost trip. I get depressed when I spend too much. Anyhoo, how about a picnic on the mountain? Or how about a trip to your own island oasis?
